The dissemination and exploitation approach of E4Water is addressing EU policies and industry. With respect to EU policies the E4Water outputs are linked to the industrial emissions directive (IED – 2010/75/EC) through the mechanisms of the BREF documents (Best Available Technique Reference Documents).
The objectives were:
Identifying the boundaries and constraints with respect to the broader policy field that the pilots might phase if going to industrial scale application.
Proposing solutions to levy such boundaries, constraints and gaps
Tested the proposed solutions on their policy “feasibility” through regular contacts with DG Environment and other policy makers
Formulating recommendations for integrating the outputs of the project in the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED – 2010/75/EC) through the mechanisms of the BREF documents (Best Available Technique Reference Documents
